U of T’s GATE renews its focus on Canada’s Feminist Recovery Plan

In a Primer to its 2020 report on A Feminist Recovery Plan for Canada, U of T’s Institute for Gender and the Economy (GATE) builds on its previous set of 27 policy recommendations with renewed focus on the pandemic’s impacts on gender, race, and social identities.  These include:

  1. Giving voice to marginalized groups in decision-making around pandemic response.
  2. A call forgender analysis  on economic and health-related pandemic policy response.
  3. Disaggregated demographic data collection including gender, sex, race, Indigeneity, disability status.

The Primer incorporates a list of useful resources on the gendered impacts of the pandemic.  Read more here.
