How to close Ontario’s education gaps
Among Ontarians under 34, almost 40 per cent have a university degree, certificate or diploma, with immigrants more likely to hold a credential than Canadian-born graduates. But three in 10 young Ontarians, and one of out four men, are entering the labour market without any postsecondary credential. The study suggests that a successful international education will have the goal of a “successful transition of immigrants to jobs in which they can fully make use of, and be rewarded for, their skills.”
