Election guidance from the Government Relations Office

The Government Relations Office is providing guidance for electoral candidates and the university community for the upcoming municipal election. This will assist engagement of students in the electoral process while maintaining the university’s role as a publicly-supported, non-partisan institution.  

The attached policies provide guidance to candidates as well as the University of Toronto community on canvassing and campaigning on campus.

The guidelines underline that U of T neither supports nor endorses any particular candidate or party at any level of government. Read the guidelines below:
