Culture + Community

New technology is changing how we live, work, and interact with each other. The choices we make now will determine whether all communities will have access to healthy food, affordable housing, and an excellent and accessible education. On its three campuses, the University of Toronto encourages dialogue about how to create strong and sustainable communities where each member feels valued and respected.

Our professors and students in the humanities and social sciences address the challenges faced by Canada, from understanding and advancing indigenous reconciliation to negotiating international trade agreements. We also regularly invite and host visits from political representatives at all levels of government to share experience and help solve public policy challenges.
